After osseointegration takes place and bonds this new tooth root with the jawbone, we add a restoration, usually a crown, to the tooth. The crown not only looks natural, but can also absorb serious bite forces. You then have a new tooth or teeth that blends with your smile and also allows you to eat your favorite foods. Since the new tooth root stimulates the growth of jawbone tissue, this also helps prevent further tooth loss or an aged appearance.
