Mardi Gras 2018 in KC

Mardi Gras, also referred to as Fat Tuesday, is a series of events to celebrate the last day before the season of Lent. It is a huge celebration in New Orleans, Louisiana, but there are plenty of Mardi Gras celebrations going on right here in Kansas City! If you to brighten your smile to celebrate any of these events, we can help with a wide array of cosmetic dentistry options.

Mardi Gras in Kansas City

  • St. Monica Catholic Church is hosting this year’s, “Boil & Boogie.” The event is a good old fashioned shrimp boil featuring dancing and merriment. Boil & Boogie takes place on Saturday, February 10th, 2018 in Ferguson Hall on the campus of St. Monica Catholic Church. Tickets are $20.00 per person and each ticket purchase gets access to the shrimp boil which entails the following: 5 shrimp, 2 Sausage, 3 Red potatoes, & 2 corn on the cob, one serving of New Orleans style Red Beans & Rice, a house salad, access to the dessert bar, and unlimited non-alcoholic beverages. Cash donations will be accepted for alcoholic beverages. The event will include a house DJ, and a contest for the best Mardi Gras outfits and masks. The Second Line stroll will be a part of the fun, too!
  • The Power & Light District is hosting a Mardi Gras Celebration on Saturday, February 10th from 9:00 p.m. to midnight. The 10th annual event features all-inclusive party packages, contests, fire jugglers, street performers, beads, masks, and more. The general admission package includes free cover to over ten bars along with drink tickets. A VIP Exclusive package includes the same along with an appetizer buffet. Participating venues include: Angels Rock Bar, The Dubliner, Howl At The Moon, Johnny’s Tavern, KC Live! Living Room, Leinenkugel’s, McFadden’s Sports Saloon, Mosaic Ultra Lounge, No Other Pub by Sporting KC, Pizza Bar, PBR Big Sky, and Shark Bar.
