In recent years, major advances in dental technology has enabled our team to offer patients in Kansas City, MO, treatment that is comfortable and offers unrivaled accurately. From one-visit restorations to CT technology, we’re ready to help you start on the path toward a healthier and more attractive smile. How do we use advanced technology to improve oral health?

CEREC CAD/CAM Technology

CEREC employs CAD/CAM technology to create a custom-made dental crown from lifelike ceramic in a single visit. After we prepare the tooth, we take detailed digital images, which will be used to create a 3D digital image. Using the image, we design the restoration and upload the information into the CEREC machine. The machine then mills the restoration from ceramic. In the same visit, we will place the completed crown. No more need for multiple visits or wearing a temporary. In addition to crowns, we can also use this technology to fabricate veneers, inlays, and onlays.

Digital X-Rays

In the past, obtaining your dental x-rays meant biting down on uncomfortable bite wings and a lengthy development period using harsh chemicals. For faster results and a greener alternative, we now offer digital x-rays. We don’t need harsh chemicals for development, and the images will be available instantly chairside, so the dentist can walk you through your diagnosis. The technology also uses up to 80% less radiation than traditional x-rays.

Intraoral Camera and Scanners

In order to receive orthodontics, oral appliances, or restorations, in the past you had to bite down on a sticky and bad tasting mold, holding your bite for several minutes. The process was uncomfortable and the resulting impressions less than stellar. Fortunately, we now offer an alternative employing digital technology. Using intraoral cameras and scanners, we take detailed images of your teeth and gums in a matter of seconds. Using these images, we create a 3D digital impression that offers greater accuracy and precision, ensuring a better fitting appliance and more accurate dental restoration.

CT Scans

With our I-Cat Conebeam CT Scans, we use computerized tomography to scan your teeth, gums, jaw, and oral tissues to take detailed digital x-rays from multiple angles. We then analyze your oral tissue and structures with greater accuracy. We use the technology to help plan procedures, such as dental implant placement.
