Clearcorrect™ Offers Invisible Braces
With clear braces, we don’t need metal brackets or wires to correct misalignment and straighten smiles. Instead, we use ClearCorrect™ aligners to shift the position of the teeth, improving both the health and beauty of your smile. In today’s blog, your Kansas City, MO, dentist talks about our invisible braces.
The Benefits of Braces for Oral Health
Obviously, uneven teeth have a negative impact on the beauty of your smile. But what your overall oral health? Well, crooked, crowded, and overlapping teeth provide places for food particles to become trapped, out of reach for toothbrush bristles and floss. As bacteria break them down, the risk of issues like tooth decay and gum disease, as well as bad breath and teeth stains, increases. Misalignment could also upset bite balance and place pressure on jaw joints, meaning painful complications like TMJ disorder and even bruxism (chronic teeth grinding). By addressing your uneven teeth you help more oral health and keep your smile strong and stable for many years to come!
Creating Clear Aligners
Every smile is different, so every smile will need a inquire series of aligners to reposition the teeth and improve alignment. To start, we will use digital technology to examine and assess the cause and extent of the misalignment. We then take digital images and measurements to design and create a series of aligners. Each set is custom-made for your smile, ensuring a comfortable fit and treatment with precision. Each set is also made from clear plastic and barely visible when worn, and can be removed before meals or before you brush and floss, making eating and smile care much simpler throughout the treatment process.
The Clearcorrect™ Process
How exactly does this system improve your alignment? Well, each set of the aligners will be worn for about 20 to 22 hours each day. After two weeks of this, you will move on to the next set in the series, and continue this process for about a year to see optimal results. While they’re removable, you still need to wear them each day for the amount of time your dentist recommends. Following treatment, we will discuss care to ensure your smile remains healthy and beautiful for years to come. If you have any questions about correcting misalignment using our ClearCorrect™ aligners, or if you would like to schedule a checkup and cleaning visit for you or a member of your family, then contact our team today.
