The Dangers of Your Missing Teeth

Full and Partial Prosthetics
A full set of dentures replaces every tooth on one or both arches. A full row of teeth will be crafted form ceramic, and able to absorb daily bite forces and pressures. We insert these teeth into an acrylic base that is crafted to look like gum tissue. The teeth will also be deigned to look natural too! Suction holds the lower arch in place, and the upper one may need assistance from an adhesive. A partial denture addresses multiple gaps across the smile for those who don’t yet need a full. Again, the teeth will be inserted in an acrylic base, but metal clasps will secure them in place. Both are usually removable, and need to be soaked and cleaned periodically.

Removable dentures that rely on suction and clasps will often need to be replaced about once every five years, as your jaw ridge will change shape. This happens as the jaw loses mass and density following tooth loss. But by placing dental implants into the jaw, we stimulate the growth of the bone tissue to prevent these changes. We then attach the prosthetics directly to them. They’re now fixed in place, never moving and never requiring removal for cleaning. They also have the ability to last for several decades to come, or possibly even a lifetime with proper care and attention.
