The Kansas City Broadway Series is presenting Finding Neverland to the Music Hall from Feb 27 – March 4th. Finding Neverland is a musical based on the Academy Award-winning motion picture by David Magee, and the play The Man Who Was Peter Pan by Allan Knee. The plot of the musical follows the relationship between playwright J.M. Barrie and the family that inspired the characters of Peter Pan. The live musical version Finding Neverland is directed by Tony Award-winner Diane Paulus with book by Olivier Award-nominee James Graham, music and lyrics by Gary Barlow and Grammy Award- winner Eliot Kennedy, and choreography by Emmy Award-winner Mia Michaels. Struggling playwright, J. M. Barrie, the main character of the play, is spellbound by the family’s boys’ enchanting make-believe adventures. So, much so that he sets out to write a play that will astound London theatergoers. With a little bit of pixie dust and a lot of faith, Barrie takes a monumental leap, leaving his old world behind for Neverland. Neverland is a place where nothing is impossible and the wonder of childhood lasts forever.
