When your teeth don’t align correctly, the most obvious concern is how the misalignment affects your smile’s appearance – and your confidence. Crooked teeth also affect how your bite functions and can lead to excessive tooth wear, damage, jaw dysfunction, loose teeth, and more.
Unfortunately, many adults are hesitant to pursue traditional orthodontia because the thought of wearing shiny metal braces is unpleasant. With Clear Braces™ clear aligners, however, you can enjoy the benefits of straighter teeth without the inconvenience of metal wires – and without your treatment being quite so obvious.
Clear aligners can fix common dental issues that result in crooked teeth or an incorrect bite, including:
Before and After: Our patient was dissatisfied with the appearance of his smile and wanted to fix his crowding issue. His clear braces treatment took just nine months, and now his smile is much improved – and much more confident.
Clear braces are a series of custom designed clear aligners carefully shaped to gently move crooked or misaligned teeth back into their proper positions. As your teeth move, you’ll receive a new aligner to wear; this process continues until treatment is complete.
Adults choose clear braces because:
How much do clear braces cost?
The final cost of clear braces depends on the necessary duration and complexity of your treatment. However, generally they cost about the same as traditional metal braces. Our cosmetic dentists will create a custom orthodontia plan for you and can provide exact cost after your clear aligner consultation.
For how many hours per day must I wear my clear aligner trays?
You should wear your clear braces at least 22 hours per day, removing your trays only to eat, drink anything but plain water, and brush your teeth. Wearing them less frequently could delay the progress of your treatment.
How long will treatment take?
Most adult patients wear their clear braces for a minimum of six months, but treatment time varies.
Will clear braces discolor my teeth?
Although wearing clear aligners won’t directly affect the color of your teeth, some people notice that over time, their pearly whites look less bright. If you began your clear aligner treatment after January 1, 2020, you’ll receive complementary teeth whitening at the end of your treatment. Your dentist will discuss options with you.
If your teeth are crooked and you’d prefer them to be straightened, or if you have a bite misalignment that needs to be addressed, our alternative can provide a more comfortable and discreet experience as compared to metal braces!
